Another escape
Posted April 26, 2007 by harry

Thank goodness for delivery men. Even when they're at the wrong house.

I escaped again on Monday, when the delivery man came to the door (with a package for next door). The kids opened the screen door, and away I went!

This time I only went around the block before someone found me and rang home. That nametag really gets a workout!

I heard a rumour the grownups are planning a spring on the front gate, so it will automatically close. I also heard them say they were going to train me not to run to the front door when there are visitors.

Good luck, humans.

The Great Escape
Posted April 21, 2007 by harry

Steve McQueen has nothing on me. I know how to do a REAL escape.

On Thursday my neighbour came in to borrow the lawnmower. That's when I saw it - an open gate. Quick as a flash, I was out the gate andon the footpath. And when I start running, NO-ONE can stop me. Jenny drove up and down all the local streets, but she couldn't see me.

So Jenny told Chris. When Chris came home, luckily there was a message on the phone saying that I had been found in the next block. So Chris went over to pick me up.

The lovely lady in Shadforth St had played with me, given me chicken and water, but then I got restless again. So I escaped from HER place too. Before Chris even got there.

Hm. Chris walked the long way home, looking for me. Then Spike got brought out to track me down, but he was a terrible tracker. He didn't even sniff at the gate in Shadforth St where I had played for a while.

Chris and Spike walked all over Mosman looking for me. It was definitely great exercise for both of them. But they couldn't find me.

Somehow I safely managed to cross Canrobert St, Raglan St, and the really scary Military Rd. Then I walked down the hill and arrived at the beach. It was great! I had a lovely swim at the beach, and had great fun snapping at flies and rolling in the sand.

Then, just because I was walking in the middle of the road, two nice teenage girls decided to rescue me. They took me home, looked at my collar,  and rang Chris at home.

Chris came and got me in the car and brought me home. I was soooo tired after my big adventure, I went straight to sleep.

A pretty good day, all up.  What do you think?

Changing your picture
Posted March 20, 2007 by administrator

When you first signup, your member picture will be blank.

To change this, login, and go to My Account. Under your temporary gray picture is a link entitled Change Picture. When you click on the link, you will be prompted for a picture to upload from your PC.

To keep things running quickly, pictures are set at a maximum of 300pixels high and wide. And the thumbnail version is only 175 pixels.  And ideally, your photo shouldnt be more than 15kb. That way you can fit lots of photos in the 100kb free photo limit. And there's more space for upgraded members.

If you need help resizing your pictures, I've got a post at my blog called http://www.geekmum.com.au/how-to/how-to-resize-pictures/

Don't forget,  you can upload pictures to the gallery, write a blog, and customise your own web page.

Have your kids been talking about their dog to their friends at school? Now you can create a web page all about your dog, for them to show to their friends. So dig out your digital camera, take some great photos of your dogs, and put them on your webpage or the gallery, for all to see.

Cheers
