Yesterday morning I got poisoned by a cane toad ! I just pushed him out of the way and then he sprayed me. I had to be rushed to the vet & she came in on a Sunday - then she gave me drugs to calm me down 'cause I was frothing at the mouth and my legs were very wobbly. Then I had some of my leg shaved and the vet put in a needle with a long plastic thing with a plastic bag thingy.The vet put me in a cage and mum went home. I stayed there all day & when I was better I came home at 5 in the afternoon.Mum was crying when she picked me up and said the vet saved me - awwww!
I have to stay away from those toads & mum has sprayed with dettol around the garden & has a cane knife near the back door. I think if she sees one, she'll chop it in half.
Mum stayed home from work today and we just hung out together.
So...STAY AWAY FROM CANE TOADS !!! THEY'RE VERY NAUGHTY !!!

I,ve missed checking for any messages for soooo long. Mum almost gave up, but I said we should just keep checking and I,m glad we did.
I have news..but will keep it for a bit longer.

The man on the radio said there was a cyclone coming & mum said it meant a lot of wind & rain & we had to be very careful & get prepared. She bought all the out door things inside & there was a lot of it. She got together our waterproof "bail bags" - that means if it gets tooo scarey - you bail.My bail bag had my bowl,lead,bottled water,food & my kong & a toy.I,m not sure what mum had in her bail bag 'cause she was running around a lot doing things with mobile phones & stuff.Anyway, we didn't get much sleep waiting to hear where the cyclone would go & i could tell that mum was nervous. I went & gave her a few licks & she patted me lots.In the morning we still didn't know how big the cyclone was & i knew mum was nervous 'cause all she did was clean & clean & clean. Mum also worked out the best room for us to be if a big wind came 'cause we have a very large mango tree in the front & so she worked out how high the tree was & then said we'll move to the bedroom at the very end of the house.....or into the garage in case the tree came thru the roof. I was very nervous, 'cause mum was nervous...we were nervous together.
BUT..it all worked out OK & the cyclone got smaller & all we have is a bit of rain.Weren't we lucky? We might get a few more cyclones in the next few months & i think i'll ask for some liver treats to be added to my bail bag. Is that being gready?

It all started when mum found out from our neighbour that I,ve been barking during the day when mum,s at work (she's a dobber !)
So mum went and got me a Kong & the vet said put in some peanut butter & I should play with it for hours and hours. I don't think so!! Why would I play with a little rubber thingy at my age when I have lots of soft toys if I want to play. Does anyone know anything else to put in the kong that might keep me busy for a little bit. I don't see the point of peanut butter & i,ve never had it before, so why would i start now?
I bark cause there are things going on & i need to let anyone outside know that I,m the guard dog.
Please help with any suggestions...i heard mum say to her sister on the phone that the kong cost her a lot of money & it's a nuisance that he won't use it.
I wonder what a nuisance is?
