The effect of small kids
Posted August 25, 2010 by DaisyDog
It's been very hard to find the time to keep up my journal. It's been ages since my last entry - over a decade in doggy years - and it's amazing how much I've changed in that time.

Looking at my profile under I Don't Like I find several things that are no longer true. "Anything scary" - wow that has changed! Feathers and loud noises no longer frighten me witless. I remember when I couldn't stand to be in the same room as a balloon. Now they are rubbed in my face on a regular basis.

Speaking of regular basis, I'll try and be more frequent with my future posts.

Dentabones are still yuk though.

Still around
Posted June 13, 2008 by DaisyDog

Hi all,

I haven't been around much of late, but thnigs are starting to settle down and I hope to post more regularly.

I attended the Million Paws Walk, which quickly became the Million Paws Run when my owner allowed me off the lead. This further progressed into the Million Paws Swim when I spotted the lake. My friend Sammy walked with me, but he wasn't allowed off the lead.

We couldn't wait for the official start and had to leave early (because of the timer in the pram). This meant we were the first to reach the Pat Stops and get rewards - YUM!!

Ungraciousness
Posted March 29, 2008 by DaisyDog

It's been difficult of late to get to the computer with everything that's been going on, so I've had plenty of time to ponder the meaning of the word UNGRACIOUSNESS.

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) uses terms such as unpleasant, disagreeable and unrewarding

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language describes it as Not welcome or acceptable

I have a far simple definition: the state of the household before Baby Grace arrived.

Changes [2]
Posted March 14, 2008 by DaisyDog

It's been really hard to gain access to the computer this week - my owners have been gone for for days and I'm locked outside without Internet access.

When I say "gone for for days", I guess that is a slight exaggeration.  He gets home in the wee hours of the morning, gives me a late dinner and then leaves after giving me an early breakfast.  Looking on the bright side, I've been sleeping on inside at night and on the bed too.

He also brought home lots and lots of flowers and gave me some strange-smelling clothes to play with (the singlet made a good chew-toy, while the little blanket looks nice in my kennel).

Based upon advice from Capertee and Jemmer, I am looking forward to more bonuses.  I'm especially hoping for another owner to take me for walks.

Changes
Posted February 12, 2008 by DaisyDog

Its been a while since my last blog, so I should mention some changes around home.

My exercise routine has taken a hit - the number of walks has diminished supposedly due to something called morning sickness.  I don't quite see how that interferes with nightly walks however.  Personally, I think the amount of weight my owner has quickly put on has a lot to do with it - I can't even fit on her lap anymore.

Then there is the back room - lots of strange new furniture has been placed in there .  I haven't been able to investigate because the room is suddenly off limits. I'm not complaining about the food treats for not going in.

I'm going to keep a close eye on my owners, because they are obviously up to something.
